Earthquake At Darjeeling and its surrounding areas

-Epicenter felt in Sikkim 64 Km from Gangtok


-An Earthquake around 6.8 magnitude  toot places around Darjeeling making several damages, Landslide took place at Bijanbari  and its adjacent areas.


-A house at Kainjalia is totally damaged and an area  of around 1/2 kilometer has been damaged.


-Its said that few buildings collapsed at Gangtok.


-Several people rushed to hospitals for help.


-Few surroundings areas of Bijanabari were severely damaged

-Tremors felt in Delhi, NCR and many  parts on north India;


-Reports of tremor also felt in Kolkata ,Patna


-Lots of property has been damaged in surrounding areas of Bijanbari


-Its been said that few buildings area Darjeeling town has been damaged.


-Building crack News in Mirik


-A huge area has been cracked around 5-6 kilometer downwards at Kainjalia a place nearby Bijanbari , several houses are at risk


-Landslides in dudhiya, way to kurseong roads. reports injury n 1 person dead...



-A house was completely swept by a huge rock which finally came to hault by hitting a wall of another house nearby making it crack at Giddha Pahad 4km from Kurseong.(submitted by-pradhanbibhusan@yahoo.ca)
